The tiers
From lowest to highest:
- BronzeIV, III, II, I
- SilverIV, III, II, I
- GoldIV, III, II, I
- PlatinumIV, III, II, I
- CrystalIV, III, II, I
- DiamondIV, III, II, I
- MasterNo divisions
- Survivor3,700+ RP and a top spot in your region
Every tier below Master has four divisions, and you climb from IV up to I. Survivor has no tier protection: drop below 3,700 RP and you go straight back to Master.
How RP works
You gain or lose RP (rank points) after every ranked match. Since Update 42.1:
- Where you finish counts for more than how many kills you get.
- You lose less RP per match once your RP is high.
- There's a streak bonus: +5 RP for two Top 4 finishes in a row, and +10 RP for two wins in a row.
KRAFTON hasn't published the exact RP for each kill or placement.
Seasons and placement matches
A ranked season usually lasts about two months. Each one starts with placement matches. Since Season 37 they're seeded from the RP you finished last season with, so your rank doesn't start from zero.
Tips for climbing
- Placement beats kills. A deep finish is worth more than an early death with a few kills.
- Skip the hot drops. Dying early costs more RP than early kills earn.
- Chain Top 4s to pick up the streak bonus.
- Talk to your squad. Use voice or pings every game.
Keep track of your rank
- On the web: the Ranked tab on any player's stats page shows their tier, RP and ranked stats.
- In Discord: Wolf Grounds posts rank-ups, keeps a ranked ladder in #ranked, and can give each linked player a role for their tier.
- On stream: the free stream overlay shows your tier and RP live, plus the RP you've gained tonight.

Common questions
- How much RP is each division?
- KRAFTON hasn't said. What is known: every tier below Master has four divisions, from IV up to I.
- Is there a Grandmaster tier?
- Not any more. The tiers run from Bronze to Survivor.
- Why don't I have a rank yet?
- You need to finish your placement matches first.
Ready when you are.
