Wolf Grounds ("we", "the bot") is a Discord bot and companion website that tracks PUBG stats, match highlights, and Twitch activity for the servers that install it. This page explains what data we collect, why, and how you can control it.
What we collect
- Discord data: your Discord user ID, username, avatar, and the servers (guilds) Wolf Grounds is installed in — including server ID, name, and icon. We use this to route commands, post stat updates to the right channel, and link your Discord account to a PUBG name if you choose to link it.
- PUBG data: player names you or a server admin add to a roster, plus the public match, season, and weapon statistics tied to those names via PUBG Corporation's official API. We do not collect PUBG account credentials — only public stat data.
- Twitch data: the public Twitch channel login you (or an admin) link to a PUBG name, used to detect when that channel is live and to correlate stream VODs with in-game kills for Wolf Reports and Wolf Clips.
- Ask AI conversations: when you use
/wolf askor the website's Ask AI page, your question and the bot's answer are temporarily stored (about 10 minutes) so follow-up questions have context, and are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate a response. We do not use these conversations to train any model. - Membership status: if a server supports Wolf Grounds via Patreon, we store which tier is active and when it expires. Payment details are handled entirely by Patreon — we never see or store card information.
- Standard web logs: like any website, our host records basic request logs (IP address, user agent, timestamp) for security and abuse prevention.
What we don't do
- We don't sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We don't run ads or third-party ad-tracking scripts on this site.
- We don't read private Discord messages — the bot only sees messages in channels it has been given access to, and slash commands are the primary way you interact with it.
Who we share data with
We share the minimum data needed with these services to make Wolf Grounds work:
- Discord — to operate as a bot and OAuth login provider.
- PUBG Corporation — to look up public match and player statistics via their developer API.
- Twitch (Amazon) — to check public live/offline status and channel info for linked streamers.
- Anthropic — to generate answers for the Ask AI feature.
- Patreon — to verify membership tier status for servers that support the project.
How long we keep data
Match and stat snapshots, and Wolf Reports/Clips, are retained for a limited window (currently 14 days) and then automatically pruned. Roster entries and account links persist until an admin removes them (/discord remove) or the server uninstalls the bot. Ask AI conversation history is kept for about 10 minutes to support follow-up questions, then discarded.
Your choices
- Remove a player from a server's roster at any time with
/discord remove [player_name]. - Unlink a Twitch or Discord account from the server's admin panel on this site.
- Uninstall the bot from Server Settings → Integrations to stop all new data collection for that server.
- Contact us at support@wolfgrounds.com to request a copy of your data or full deletion.
Children's privacy
Wolf Grounds is only available through Discord, which requires users to meet Discord's own minimum age requirement. We don't knowingly collect data from anyone below that age.
